A Second Chance at Love: From College Sweethearts to Forever

Forty years ago, I met the “love of my life.”
We were in university at the time, and we dated throughout my years at the College of William & Mary.
Everyone assumed we would marry and live happily ever after—but that wasn’t our story.

After college, we went our separate ways to different cities.
I married someone else and had a beautiful daughter who now lives and works in NYC.
He also married someone else and had two lovely daughters based in the Washington, D.C. area.
Life was good… until it wasn’t.

We both went through divorces, and by then, I was living in South Africa while he was in Virginia, USA.
In 2015, we reconnected via Facebook and grew closer during the COVID pandemic.
In December 2023, we were married in Cape Town, South Africa.
Our daughters also adore each other, and we are truly blessed and grateful for this second chance.

For a love story like ours, I needed a dress that could match the significance of the occasion.
